After attempting to sell our family home on a previous occasion with no success, we were thrilled to meet Shane Broekman from LJ Hooker Frenchs Forest. Shane was very good at defining the 'core value proposition' for our family home, highlighting all the great aspects of our property that we could not articulate. Shane has an in-depth local knowledge having lived in the area all his life. Shane's awareness of the property market is exceptional. Shane recommended for us to go to Auction with a reserve price that met our expectations. While preparing for our first showing, Shane organised his photographer to create the most beautiful photographs of the property. We also had some maintenance items that needed completing. Shane recommended some trades people to complete these items. Their speed, quality of work & value for money was very good, with no stress being placed on us. I was in contact with Shane as I was keen to downsize my home to a townhouse/duplex and stay within the Davidson area. The reason we chose Shane is that he is a local and grew up in the area. This gave him that extra edge over the other agents . He was also persistent and any questions or doubts we had between him and his competitors he had a better solution. When we decided to sell our property we knew that as a matter of priority we first had to find the right agency and the right agent. We met with 3 agents prior to hearing about Shane Broekman. Strangely enough, Shane was recommended to us by another agent who described him as a really decent person with a young family that has great insight and knowledge of the real estate market, particularly on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. After buying and selling properties over many years, we know that contracting the right agent is essential, otherwise it can all end up in tears. We did our research and Shane ticked all the boxes for us. When negotiating with Shane with regards to how we would like our property to be marketed, he thoroughly explained the pros and cons of what we ideally wanted to achieve, that is, a fast sale at a good price. In December 2014 we sold our house in Belrose following a rigorous interview and selection process of four Real Estate Agents. We selected LJ Hooker Frenchs Forest after meeting with Shane.
